Devola Dehumidifier Review

The Devola Low Noise Dehumidifier is a quiet, advanced and modern appliance which is ideal for use in kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, utility rooms, basements, garages, etc. It's capable of extracting 20 litres of water per day from the air, operating in temperatures as low as 5 degrees Celsius. We like its air purification feature which utilises advanced HEPA technology to filter small particles such as dust and allergens. In terms of noise, it runs at a quiet 45db at most.

As is common with modern dehumidifiers, the Devola Low Noise Dehumidifier has both a drainage tube and a water tank option. The water tank has the usual automatic shut off when full. We particularly like the colour changing LED display which lights up blue if the humidity is less than 45%, green if between 45% and 64% and red if higher than 64%. Note that this appliance also has a laundry mode for the drying of clothes indoors.

• Drainage - There are two drainage features. There's an included hose for uninterrupted water removal and a 4 litre water tank if continuous drainage is not possible where you intend to put it. If the tank option is chosen, it will need emptying every so often. When full, the appliance will automatically switch off to stop overflowing.
• Quiet Design - The dehumidifier has a quiet compressor. At full speed it outputs only around 45dB of noise.
• Air Flow / Filters - The dehumidifier's design is such that it cleanses air that goes through it. It uses an HEPA filter and has an air flow rate of 180ml per minute. The HEPA filter purifies air by removing harmful particles, therefore reducing asthma and allergy symptoms. The filters are both removable and easy to clean.
• Traffic Light Indicators - The dehumidifier has a three tier humidity indicator - Blue for less than 45%, Green for 45% to 64% and Red for more than 64%.
• Portability - The Devola Low Noise Dehumidifier has four castor wheels and an integrated carry handle so that you can move it easily from room to room.
• Laundry Mode - Laundry mode can be used to dry clothes, sheets, duvets, etc.
• Child Lock - The unit has a child lock feature.
• Timer - A 12 hour timer lets you schedule the appliance to run whilst you're at work or asleep, for example.
