Elanket Air Cooler Review

The Elanket Evaporative Air Cooler is an air cooler, cooling fan, humidifier and air purifier which serves areas up to 20 square metres in size. It works by cooling/filtering air through a two stage filtration system, and is helped by a large 5 litre water tank with four ice trays to enhance its performance. One advantage of such a system is that, unlike air conditioners, there's no need to install an exhaust vent.

The Elanket Evaporative Air Cooler has a high performance with a maximum fan rotation speed of 5.5 metres per second. In order to get the amount of cooling right, you have the choice of three fan speeds. The air vents are of particular interest. They can, if desired, automatically move left/right 90 degrees and be manually adjusted up/down 120 degrees. The unit can be moved around easily as it's lightweight and features a carry handle and wheels.

• Suitability - The Elanket Evaporative Air Cooler has 4-in-1 functionality - air cooler, cool fan, humidifier and air purifier. It has a recommended coverage area of between 15 and 20 square metres, making it perfect for bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, pet rooms, conservatories, home offices, etc.
• Advanced Cooling/Filtration System - The appliance has two filters. The outer filter removes dust, large particles, pollen, pet dander, etc., in order to freshen air. The inner filter cools air by absorbing heat in the internal evaporation system. It has a 5 litre water tank and four ice trays to keep the water cool and increase the unit's effectiveness. Note that an exhaust hose is not required.
• Performance - The fan reaches a maximum rotation speed of 5.5 metres per second. On the lowest setting it outputs only 50dB of noise. This is low enough to be worked or slept through.
• Three Fan Speed - You can choose from three fan speeds.
• Vents / Oscillation - The Elanket Evaporative Air Cooler has an oscillation mode which moves the air flow horizontally 90 degrees. The vents can be manually adjusted vertically 120 degrees.

Summary

All in all, the Elanket Evaporative Air Cooler is up to the job in all four capacities - air cooler, cool fan, humidifier and air purifier. We like its large coverage area of up to 20 square metres, as well as its two filters (one for dust/particles/pollen and the other for absorbing heat in order to produce cool air). We also like its high performance and quiet fan, the automatic 90 degree horizontal oscillation, the adjustable vertical vents and the portable nature of the appliance.
