MYLEK Portable Air Cooler Review

The MYLEK Portable Air Cooler is a compact, portable, versatile and highly effective appliance. It makes use of a pump based waterfall and filter system which cools down air rapidly as it passes over the water. One feature of particular interest is the top loading water tank which has a 4 litre capacity and holds up to four (included) ice packs so as to create ice cold air.

The appliance is packed with features which are not only convenient, but highly practical. Some of these include three fan speeds, an up to 8 hour timer, a 120 degrees left/right oscillation mode, and a function which creates large quantities of negative ions in order to help reduce airborne pollutants as small as 0.01 microns in size, including dust, allergens, pollen, mould spores, odours, etc.

• Suitability - The MYLEK Portable Air Cooler is suitable for household use. It's ideal for bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, dining rooms, bathrooms, pet rooms, conservatories, utility rooms, and more.
• Cooling System - An industry-leading pump feeds a waterfall and filter system. It utilises ice cold water to cool down air as it passes over the water. It works best when placed near an open window. We like how it runs at only 75W.
• Water Tank - A top loading 4 litre water tank together with four included ice packs help make the air even cooler. It works especially well with both the humidifying and cooling functions.
• Three Fan Speeds - Three fan speeds can be selected from. You can find the best setting for your needs. On the lowest speed, the unit outputs only 50dB of noise which can be slept through. The maximum cooler speed is 6.2 metres per second.
• Timer - The MYLEK Portable Air Cooler can either be run continuously, or scheduled with the up to 8 hour timer.
• Oscillation Mode - The unit is capable of swinging air left/right 120 degrees with the oscillation mode.
• Negative Ion Function - This special function releases large quantities of anions (negative ions) which help tackle airborne pollutants as small as 0.01 microns in size, including fine dust, allergens, pollen, mould spores, smoke, odours, pet dander, etc.
• Display / Controls - The appliance has a digital LED display. There are two ways of controlling it. Firstly with the soft touch controls, and secondly with the included remote control.
• Portable - The appliance's lightweight design and small size allow it to be moved from room to room without too much effort.

Summary

All things considered, the MYLEK Portable Air Cooler is an effective appliance which offers plenty of choice. We particularly like its 4 litre top loading water tank with four included ice packs for extra effectiveness, as well as its three fan speeds.
